If you’re pondering an AirBnB excursion to Pender Island, make sure that you prioritize peace and quiet. The small island, which is located in the Gulf of Georgia in British Columbia, Canada, is home to 2,250 permanent residents. Avoid the allure of Magic Lake (it’s basically just that Instagramable dock), and enjoy a game of disc golf just around the corner instead. We had never played before, but picked up a couple of frisbees at the local liquor store and ended up having a great time. If you’re striking out with AirBnB, check out Woods on Pender. They have a bunch of refurbished airstreams in the woods and a very good restaurant on site. We were also given an insider tip for a short hike with a fantastic viewpoint during our long weekend there, and we’ll pass it on to you guys. Ask the locals for “Oak Bluffs”.
